Consent and authority Rise and Lume Ltd will only publish content with the explicit consent of the copyright owner. The author must confirm authority to publish and warrant that the content does not infringe third-party rights.
Author accounts and royalties:
Where feasible, distribution accounts such as Amazon KDP or Ingram Spark will be created in the author's name, and royalties will be paid to the author-nominated payment account. Where an author requests Rise and Lume Ltd to create or manage a distribution account, the arrangement will be documented.
Royalty participation and opt-in:
Any arrangement in which Rise and Lume Ltd provides services in return for a share of future royalties requires a separate, signed royalty agreement that details the payment schedule, reporting requirements, and termination rights. Royalty participation is strictly opt-in and never implicit.
Reporting and payments:
We provide royalty reporting as available from distribution platforms and will explain statements on request. Payment schedules, thresholds, and any fees are set out in the author agreement.
Intellectual property:
Authors retain copyright and all moral rights unless an express written assignment is agreed. The authors grant Rise and Lume Ltd a limited license to act on their behalf to upload files to distributors and to promote works with the author's consent.
Disputes:
If there is a dispute over royalties, both parties will exchange records in good faith and seek an amicable resolution. If unresolved, a third-party audit or independent mediation may be used as set out in the author agreement.
